*Set on course for make-believe world, armed with dreams *

Some of them view almost everything in terms of lighting and visual appeal,
some of them chop off those unwanted, redundant, bits and some direct a team
to have their idea implemented. For the 30 students who have just passed out
of the L.V. Prasad Film and TV Academy completing their courses in
cinematography, editing and sound design and direction, a new journey has
begun.


Emphasising the role of film makers as custodians of the conscience of
society, he urged students to watch films, criticise them, celebrate them or
even massacre them, but do not ignore them. "You are now officially
qualified to be married into the family of cinema. Your education, however,
begins now," Mr. Balachander added. His speech, which evoked tears at the
recent felicitation function for actor Aamir Khan, this time, evoked
laughter and thunderous applause from the rapt audience. And like Aamir Khan
did, noted music director A.R. Rahman promptly took the copy of his speech.

Make India proud'
