Can this get better ??? I met ARR again in the evening ...twice in a day !!! I was wondering what I ate for breakfast that day that made it soooooooooo damn lucky for me..read on for my experience..
After the chance happening in the morning y'day, I was floating in the air for a long time. I breezed through my work for the day and plodded to the airport for catching the flight back to Chennai. I was half hoping that I would see ARR but I saw him bring a big suitcase in the morning so I thought he was staying in Mumbai for sometime. I entered the Jet Airways Lounge and took a seat..opened my laptop and was starting to access mails when I wanted to get a drink...and who was sitting close to the food counter....yeeessssssss...it was ARR again looking a bit agitated speaking to someone on the phone....whoa.....i couldn't believe my eyes and my luck ...here I was waiting for about 15 years to meet my idol and here he was in front of me second time in a single day...with a silly look on my face I went back to where I was seated and waited for ARR to finish his phone call...some bollywood director came in (think it was the director Madhur Bhandarkar) and exchanged pleasantries and mobile numbers. I was getting jittery with excitement as there was noone next to ARR and I wanted to take that seat...finally the chance came when ARR was alone and I went upto him and shook his hand again...he spoke for about 5 minutes ..he answered my inane and stupid questions with patience...he even asked me where I work and where Iam from..I told him that his "Aditi" song was my li'l daughter's Aditi's favourite song and he asked how old she is..I was top of the world...his humility and "down to earth" nature is well known but when you experience it first hand it is something else.I asked him about Rashid Ali , his next project (Yuvraj has 6 songs)..how I loved his music over the last 15 years..about his iPhone...and he answered/responded to every single question of mine.Being such a busy person he could have waved me away but he took 5-10 minutes of his time to talk to a inconsequential fan like me ....it speaks volumes about his great nature and personality. Finally it was time to board and 2 other gentlemen from Chennai came to talk to him and I had to take leave...he said see you later. I just didnot want to go from there...After landing in Chennai he was waiting for his checked in luggage and I went upto him and said "Goodbye AR" and he shook my hand again as if I was a old friend. Thus ended my luckiest day of my life where I sat with ARR one on one ...it is still like a dream to me..and Iam pinching myself hard...I now realise I should have said much more and asked so many different questions but I was so nervous and jittery at that moment.Only wish I was a bit more sensible in talking but no regrets at all...I met GOD twice in a day and what more can I ask for!! The business trip, that I was not very enthusiastic about, turned out be one of the most memorable moments of my life ranking after my wedding and birth of my daughter. Sorry for the loooong mail but it was just too much for me for a day !! ----------------------------------------------------------------- My morning experience: My long cherished dream came true today morning at the Mumbai Airport when I met ARR at the taxi waiting area. Although he was already beseiged by Autograph and photo requests and he said "Enough " (in HIndi.."Bus")..I requested him for one last snap and he graciously posed for me and my colleague. got an autograph from him as well...aaaaaaaaah...whatta day ! Though I wanted to ask so many questions and say so many things about him and his music and love for his music...I could only utter "Iam a great fan for the last 18 years.." :-(...but I guess he wanted his privacy and space... Seems he came on the same flight as me from Chennai but I didn't see him there.
