The new version of Taxi Taxi seems more like the old version or the version originally composed by Rahman. Rahman said in the interview that the song initially had a bhangra like feel to it but then later was modified to give a reggae tone, latin feel. If you listen to the end credits or last section of the third segment of the interview you will get to hear a slightly longer version of this new Taxi song. Also wondering if they will release the new version of the song.
Also I didn't like the fact that Rahman revealed Sakkarakatti story details and its significant similarity to JTYJN. If it was Mani Ratnam/Shankar movie the storyline or any aspects even closely related are a very well guarded secret adding to the anxiety. I like it that way, but well I could not have missed this interview for anything in the world :) On a different note I saw Rock On and the background score is mindblowing. SEL have done a very good job and Farhan has always been a revelation. Jagdeesh
