The main Jathis were sung by Thumba Raja. He mentioned this in a recent 
interview in Rahmania show. 
ARR's voice may be there in the song, but "Raja" referred to in the cassettes 
is Thumba Raja. Rahman's name doesnt appear in the casettes if it is just small 
bits of backing vocals (like he sang a small bit on Oruvan oruvan interlude, 
but his name wasn't in the casettes). This song must be a similar case.

            You may be right Aravind, but my info was based on few magazines I 

read where ARR acknowledged the same. We are talking about 10+ yrs 

before, unless they carried wrong information. If you search on the 

internet, there are some blogs too about this topic..
