Reserve blockbuster status for Ghajini..both movie and music...Everything
associated with the film is carrying amazing pre-release reports...Its music
and movie are going to open with never seen before figures in the bollywood...

When rahman himself says that he has high hopes on Ghajini..my expectations are
sky high...

Yuvraaj...The guys associated with it need to create more buzz..I got no doubt
on music point of view..but..on movie..i serisouly have doubts since for long
time subash ghai hasnt delivered any hits..

Dilli 6 - ROM - ARR - Parsoon combo after RDB...

We are in for some royal treat.....

I normally keep my expectations low, lest be disappointed. However, I
just cannot have low expectations for Yuvraaj, Ghajini, and Delhi 6.
If all goes according to plan, we are going to have 3 huge Rahman
releases over 3 consecutive months...... Oct, Nov, Dec. Of course,
release dates change all the time, so I'm not holding my breath.

Yuvraaj - Finally, Rahman is back with Ghai and it's only Ghai and
Rahman this time. Guys, this is a movie about music! All 3
characters are musicians in this movie. It is said that the movie
belongs to Rahman and Ghai, IN THAT ORDER! This means that the music
will be THE selling point in this movie. I have heard comments about
how great the arrangements are, its classical fusion emphasis
(western, Indian, folk), and you have some great singers in the lineup
(Rathod, Nigam, Madhushree, Javed Ali). It's after a long time that
Rahman is scoring for a very typical massala bollywood film and since
it's under Ghai, who has a great history of soundtracks (Taal with
Rahman), this outing is going to be quite a classy affair, but with
enough mass appeal I predict that will have some chartbusting
potential. Expect HUGE comparisons with Taal with many reviewers
saying that the music is not as good as Taal, even if the soundtrack
is brilliant. Don't think the movie will go beyond average as I feel
Ghai has lost his touch, unless, the Salman Khan factor weighs
heavier. Oh, and I have a feeling that the music on the website is
one of the instrumentals on the CD for one of the main songs (rumor
has it 6 songs and 4 instrumental pieces).
PREDICTIONS:
MUSIC - HIT
MOVIE - AVERAGE

Ghajini -"Hatke, Hatke, and Hatke!" This is the only description that
I've heard about the music for this film. Not much else has been
speculated or revealed about the music for this one. All I know is
that Aamir is playing a HUGE role not only in terms of character, but
also in the production, direction and music of the film. The music
for this film, under Aamir's production leadership and heavy
investment overall, has HUGE POTENTIAL written all over it. The
expectations are going to be GARGANTUAN with respect to both music and
movie. There is high risk for disappointment here, but I think Aamir
and Rahman will deliver the goods as expected or even better. Expect
some big time rhythms, fast, racy numbers, and the expected Aamir
stamp of class on this soundtrack. HUGE potential to be the album of
the year and sweep all music awards next year.
PREDICTIONS:
MUSIC - SUPERHIT
MOVIE - SUPERHIT

Delhi 6 - Looks like this one will belong to the class of 2009 as far
as temporal category, but hopefully, we should hear this one in Dec.
As most of you know, Amitabh Bacchan is all goo goo and ga ga for one
of the devotional songs on this album, and he may have heard only a
scratch version, but still could not stop listening to it. Lot of
potential for this one too, although I hope Rahman cleans up the sound
production this time (RDB's sound production was muddy). Expect this
one to score big too with the masses as its star studded cast will
help the movie do well, but not as well as RDB. Expect HUGE
comparisons to RDB's music, again, with many saying it's not as good
as RDB's music!
PREDICTIONS:
MUSIC - HIT
MOVIE - HIT
