Oscar buzz for Slumdog Millionaire

For Indian fans of the classic Trainspotting, here's a fabulous surprise
from Danny Boyle. The india based 'Slumdog Millionaire' starring Indian
actors, opened at the Toronto International Film Festival to sweep the
People's Choice Award. That is an indication of an Oscar nomination.

Danny Boyle, the eccentric filmmaker from Hollywood, has swept critics off
their feet, with his urban Indian flick,Slumdog Millionaire. With the film
winning the People's Choice Award at Toronto International Film Fest, the
film has already started an Oscar Buzz...after all it's difficult to ignore
a certain track record.

Typically, all winners of this award in the past, like--Hotel Rwanda,
Eastern Promises, Life is Beautiful, Diva or Whale Rider--all have made it
to the Oscar Nominations. With Slumdog Millionaire sweeping the same award
we can expect history to repeat.

The film, a song and dance drama about a reality show contestant shot
extensively in Dharavi,Mumbai boasts of a starcast of Anil Kapoor and Irrfan
Khan and with music maestro AR Rahman's score all u can expect is a whiff of
Bollywood magic for sure. Thus when the Oscar nominations go public be ready
to applaude for 'Slumdog Millionaire'.
