But Krishna chetan told in an interview that he had done the emini hip hop
beats for the 'I miss you da song'.

One more doubt: Does the paathshaala song in RDB belong to the hip hop genre?

I did something yesterday which I have not done in a long time; put
the headphones on, turn the lights off, close my eyes and listen to
few Rahman songs before going to sleep.

I usually try that routine with some very soothing songs like Ishwar

Allah, Anbai Sugama, Do Kadam, etc. to clear my head of all of the
day's chores. But this time I went for Sakkarakatti because I have
not got a chance to listen to it on headphones.

First was Taxi Taxi. Even though I was very tired, I found myself

energized, enough to tap my feet on the ground, rock the chair and bob
my head to the hip reggaeton beat.

Next was I Miss You Da(shuffle mode). There I was... totally
captivated by the first few seconds of the song. Even though I had

heard it multiple times in my car, the effect on the headphones was
astounding. As the song progressed, I found myself completely
immersed in the sound and indulging myself in the details of the song.
"Wow" is the only way to describe it. The precisely calculated

panning and fading effects on different instruments and vocals along
with the finetuned adjustment of the ambiance and texture of the sound
gave this, sort of, "life" to the song. I felt as if I was encircled

by the Song, with Rahman hitting me from all directions; left, right,
center, front and back. Surround like experience from a stereo song.
The detailed programming that has gone into this song are nothing
short of extraordinary. I couldn't go on to another song, listened to

it a couple more times.

As it was getting late at night, I took the headphone off after
listening to this masterpiece a few times... shaking my head in
disbelief of what I had just heard. As I found myself exclaiming

"Unbelievable!" as I went to sleep, a part of my brain spoke to me, in
reassurance, and reminded me:
"This is why You are a Rahman fan!"

p.s. Sorry, it may be irrelevant, but I thought I should share my

Rahmaniac experience.

regards,
Wasim.
