Vithur, i have never heard of this proverb, all i have heard like this only, " kai ezhuthu nalla iruntha thaan thalai ezhuthu nalla irukkum" meaning, "if handwriting is good, then your fate is will also be good", this is said especially for school going children to encourage them.
