Why 'Yuvvraaj' was preponed ?
The first filmmaker who has moved the date of his film's release is Subhash Ghai. His film Yuvvraaj was supposed to release in December. He has preponed the date to November 21. "The filmmakers of Yuvvraaj didn't want any competition for the film (from the cricket tournament). The IPL was on top of the minds of people and films released then took a heavy beating. They did not want Yuvvraaj to face the same fate and locked November 21 as the release date. This gives the film a safe two weeks time to get lucky at the counters," says a source. Director Subhash Ghai, however, has a different point of view, "We had finalised the release date almost six months earlier. We never wanted to release the film in December because there were so many things happening. Moreover there were other big films releasing in the same month."
