Satyajit Ray gave it a start. But now there are talented directors and artists up from Bengal. What it all needs for an artist is that the thoughts should meet. Its like resonance. If AR has to work somebody whose thoughts are AR can do much better among the rest should also come in their minds. We all know Bhansali when asked why wouldn't he approach AR he mentioned that when he has Ismail Darbar he dont think of AR. This is just an example remember artists are driven by a horrible ego but the only exception is AR so far we have experienced.
