well Chord no post could have expressed my feeling better than this
post. i will add more..

Main Hoon Yuvvraaj: what a let down and disappointing start of the
album. A complete waste with childish and stupid lyrics by Gulzar
(what's up with you man), cheap and stupid singing by a cheap and
stupid actor. a complete hell waste of Beethoven's piece. if you
simply omit his singing, it will be a quite acceptable to start the
album with. Main Hoon Yuvvraaj has the credit that it is the WORST
ever non-song in an ARR album, a black spot. and i know credit must go
to Ghai for forcing this ******* on ARR.

Tu Meri Dost Hain: some people said rightly here. unfortunately this
was the best song of the album. a pretty good song overall, though
nothing special or Rahmanish. interludes are nice. did not like ARR's
singing though, don't understand what is going with him.

Shano Shano: i have already expressed my anger and disappointment with
this song in another post. to repeat it here this is first song by ARR
perhaps in past 10 years which i SKIPPED in first hearing. this is one
of the weakest songs of ARR. again dont understand what went wrong
with him. does this type of a song deserved to be in a grand musical
like Yuvvraaj?, actually it does not deserve to be in any of ARR's
albums.

Tu Muskura: Some relief. a good song. more Rahmanish than Tu Meri Dost
Hain. its in the league of Milo Wahan Wahan (Ada) and Tu Bin Bataye
(RDB) though the the two were better. good singing by Javed and Alka.
starts superbly with violen or whatever.

Mastam Mastam: An okay song. nothing special. though started to grow
on me more. Sonu is superb.

Zindagi: A pretty good song. Srinivas sounds like Hariharan. he rocked
the song with his perfect singing. vocals are strong but music/melody
is minimum (almost absent).

Dil Ka Rishta: My favorite of album so far. very nice heavy
arrangements. though very long and too much going on in the song.
what a waste of Roopkumar, did not notice him after the beginning of
song. hard to remember the tune of song, completely agree with Chord. alap by
ARR does not impress much. don't know why but boss is not in
very good form in this album.

Manmohini Meri: Great song. great fusion. best song of the album. the
only song which deserved to be in a grand album of ARR-Ghai combo.
though unfortunately very short.

overall this would be my ranking:
Dil ka rishta
Manmohini meri
Tu muskra
Zindagi
Tu meri dost hai

sorry for any harsh words i used. this only shows my anger and
disappointment. i m feeling like deceived. does this album really
deserves to be soundtrack of a musical? i don't think so. Taal was
absolutely the one. if i give Taal 10/10, Yuvvraaj would be 3/10.
some guys here are saying Taal was also not an instant hit and
required time to grow. i completely disagree. i fell in love with Taal
se Taal, Ishq bina, Ramta jogi, Ishq bina (Western) in the very first
hearing.

a huge disappointment. my dream of another album of Taal's standard
(not Taal 2 btw) is broken for ever.
