Don't be surprised if the magic of "Taal" repeats itself with the coming together of Subhash Ghai and AR Rehman one more time. Subhash Ghai speaking on the comparisions between "Taal" and "Yuvraaj" said, "You compare with "Taaal'. And people compare. It is inevitable. You liked "Taal", and you want to compare with it. Definitely, you are not going to compare it with "Kisna" because you didn't like it."
Yes, the showman is back with his lavish canvas, a musical again. This time it is "Yuvvraaj" and quite evidently, he does not fear those comparisons with his last 1994 musical hit "Taal". But, the googly dished out by the showman was the complete absence of any actor - Salman, Katrina, Zayed or Anil kapoor - from the music launch. Subhash Ghai speaking on the absence of actors, said, "Stars hog the limelight. I wanted the event to be focussed on only the music and wanted technicians to come to the forefront. We have to give respect to these people. When stars come, they overshadow the others. Even the stars agree with this." And then, we were caught completely off guard when Anil Kapoor turned up at another event, to say, "I didn't know there was a music release." Well, now we don't understand the logic, even more so, when A R Rehman's mother did the honours - a move that even took the maestro by surprise! Rehman reacting to the absence of stars said, "It was a bit unconventional because we expect Ghai to do in such a fanfare model. I didn't expect this surprise." With opulent operatic music interspersed with Rehman's signature melody, Ghai's "Yuvraaj" is a musical treat for one and all. We will hope that the film turns out likewise. http://www.timesnow.tv/Newsdtls.aspx?NewsID=18632 -- regards, Vithur ARR in my Heart; His Music in my Blood;
