This song composed by A R Rehman and sung by Bela Shinde for Jodha Akbar is extremely moving one, where Ash is talking/singing to Krishna directly. As you can see, Rehman has put his soul into the song, the majestic leap of background music, the high notes of the singer's voice (which, by the way, has such a range that my music teacher Jayshri Panchal showed me how it was going right off the harmonium's keyboard!!). Mmm, I must confess sheepishly to having valiantly decided to learn to sing it, and we have taken two complete sessions just to start off on one para...And I am still struggling. But happily....
In a way, the song tried -- just like the movie did -- to show God may be approached from various angles... And Akbar, despite being an illiterate (pushed into early responsibility due to his father's death) was no less a mystic... http://jaisivananda.blogspot.com/2008/10/what-song-speaking-to-him.html -- regards, Vithur ARR in my Heart; His Music in my Blood;
