Hi,
Poovasam has 2 versions, the better sounding one sung by Vijay 
Prakash :-)
Basically his version is more hindustani sounding, while Sriram's 
sounds closer to carnatic music. Both versions are based on the same 
raaga (Hamsanatham in Carnatic music, Shudh Saarang in hindustani).
