I dont think ARR leaves his arrangement completely to the
youngstars, but yes in some cases it seems he depends much on them
for some particular sections, eg : JTYJN, Sakkarakatti. I'm not sure
abt it though.
Right now I'm typing this mail & listening to "Ja re ja ae hawa...",
again being enthralled by the enchanting melody & fulfilling
arrangement. This song was based on simple "Teebra" or "Teorha"
format, yet his astonishing usage of tabla with sounds of
bell,dewdrops & a trade-mark vocal made the rhythm so unique.There
are a lot of small touches of flute, synths etc etc on the whole
body of the song which sums up to a gr8 song in total.
I think this unique style of taking a good melody to better one by
wonderfull arrangement is somewhere missing in recent releases like
JTYJN etc etc, which I "personally" missed in Yuvraaj too.
Just think of "tu bin bataye song...". It is a very simple tune,
even u wont get that charm of listening if u personally hum it. But,
ARR had his feather touch on it. It starts off from very minute
sounds of guiter string, then one after one layers of percussions
are added one by one, ultimately at the end of the song they
altogether goes up & join with vocal chorus in higher octaves. As
per me, it's a gr8 example of how a not-so-special tune can be
converted to a gr8 song by unique arrangement & off-course very good
sound engineering (for which Sridhar Sir-Siva-Adi got to win Filfare
award also)............

However,I wud be more happier if ARR sir cud be much more dependent
on his ability of creating awasome grooves (both by accoustic &
synthesized eqpts)in future...instead of creating the same
repeatative groove patterns, which just supports the song but
doesn't increases it's level. Eg : "Manmohini", "Tu Muskura".
May be he needs to be depended much on electronic stuffs for lack of
time. As we know, Mr Ghai wanted a whole symphonic orchestration to
be prepared within 2 months, this is more than torture to a
extremely creative person like him. Hope, this wont be repeated in
future............Lets hope for the best..

ARR Rocks...................
