before i forget, my question to those who watched this movie already.. how
did jamal get his answer to his last question right? was there any incident
weaved to it as it was done to all other questions. i just couldn't get
this. did i miss something? plz mail me in person if anyone has an answer
for this! thanx...

okay, first the BGMs. this might not be a challenging movie to score the BG
music and overall the BGM is very good. nothing more than that! the BGMs
suit the mood of the movie. the music for jamal finding lathika scene
is brilliant and it made people to tap their feet and clap. this feeling
was apparent in the movie hall.

1. exploring the slum - believe me the beat in dolby was thundering.
Rahman's voice is magical. terrific effect. u have to experience it.

2. paper planes
3. escape from maman
4. bomaby turns mumbai - the humming bit when the trailer starts; i think
this is rendered by sunitha sarathy. she did it flawlessly. nice trance in
her voice.
5. jamal finding lathika - OMG! in dolby the BGM outscored everything. i
dont what instrument was used to give that distinct sound.. sitar may be..
it is rocking.

there were many other BGMs in patches here and there and gelled well with
the mood of the film.i think i want to watch to register them.

i will agree with Kaissiom here. the song jai ho is definitely an average by
Rahman standards. the song lyrics start with "aaja aaja re".. and along with
sukhwinder there was also a female voice in the song.
but the mood of the movie just gives it ample energy and makes it enjoyable.
thanks Danny for having a song at the end of the movie. also, this made
everyone to watch the end credits in the movie...

now, for the movie.. movie is a must watch and it is engaging throughout. it
has dull moments in patches but the succeeding scenes overtakes the dullness
and the movie the appropriate pace. special mention to brilliant direction
by Danny and very good screenplay by Simon (i think). MOST importantly it
showcases the reality in India. watch the movie to experience this. Danny is
bold here and sure he wins.

amithabh scene & taj mahal guide scene is super cool. the locales caught by
the cinematographer is jus brilliant. especially various places in the slum.
hmmm, y cant some cinematographer in India show slums realistically and also
beautifully. also, it needs an british director to take a subject like this
and win it comprehensively. this is not a grandeur movie but as i said, this
movie portrays the reality in India.
just couple of many examples in the movie - empty water can becoming a new
water refilled bottle in a minute, call center in India, how
young children are converted to pathetic beggars..oh gosh...
watch the movie to see numerous realistic scenes...

last but not the least, R rating is much needed for this movie!
Overall: Very good.

as far as m concerned, m very excited for ARR reaching new heights with this
movie. m eagerly waiting to see what the soundtrack has got to offer.
