An experience of a lifetime Today i happened to watch the slumdog millionaire here in LA , its only played in 10 theatres in the whole US and thankfully , one of them was close to my house. Went in there with huge expectations (mailny cuz of the great reviews). took a seat with couple of desi friends. We were the only desi sitting there, it was jam packed!!! the movie started and within 10 mins, the first song was played (cudnt really figure out if it was a background), whatevere it was, it touched hearts really.. story of the film itself was so engaging, such a beautiful tale of a slumdog, but even then to our boss's credit, the musical score stood out !!! and what an impact it made on the audience who were all Americans. I was desperately waiting for the sukhwinder song to come on , but it took the whole movie for dat. It came with the credits , and guess what, the usually very unwilling audience of america who cant stand a musical number being danced on, waited in their seats for the whole song to end. it was really that great. Many of them even left their seats and were walking towards the exit room but when the song started, all of them cudnt care much dat they were getting late, ALL of them cheered and enjoyed that song to the fullest u guys cant even imagine........ i almost had tears seeing all that........ really.. what an amazing experiece dat was.....
