A R Rahaman is becoming more and more patriotic. He is composing the
signature music for the T 20 matches. He is already in charge for
composing the theme music for the Commonwealth games to be conducted in
New Delhi and now the best part is Election Commission has approached
him to compose the tunes with a strong message to educate people about
the benefits of elections and improve voter turnout for the Nov 29
assembly election in Delhi.
Rahman has already given them permission to use one of his compositions
for the awareness campaign. Rahaman will also personally campaign for
them and tell people to come out and vote. The campaign aims at creating
awareness among 12 different segments of people who generally don't
vote. The electoral office is using one of Rahman's compositions,
`Pappu can't danceĀ
' from the Bollywood movie `Jaane Tu
Ya Jaane Na' for creating TV, radio and print adds to encourage
voters to cast their ballots. A R Rahaman will not receive any
remuneration for this.
