Hello long time since i wrote a mail..
First things first..too excited for SDM..want it to make it to the oscar
list..not that it increases any love or respect that i or everyone of us has
for Mr Rahman..Just sometimes i feel people dont understand or acknowledge
Rahman so much which is angering but sometimes i feel special that i am able to
understand his music so much (the music which says sooooo much through its
notes)..presently kaise mujhe is just hovering around in my mind just like the
piano hovers around in the song behka..I seriously feel ghajini is super
cool..its awesome..
Another thing i wanna put up is the respect for Manmohini morey..its
mindboggling..why havent people taken notice of it? Its an AMAZING MIX..the
lyric the rendering by Vijay Prakash the Rhythmn at the end..i MEAN ARE PEOPLE
STONES? i know everyone is entitled to their opinions, likes, dislikes..but
MANMOHINI MOREY? Damn its one of the songs which move u, thrill u, sadden u and
in the end ENTHRALL U at the same time, within its time frame of 4 odd
minutes..dont know if it was in the movie, but if Rajeev masand claims to be a
die hard rahman fan then Manmohini morey shd have been in the list of positives
for Yuvvraaj..One more thing..tu muskusra is the best..literally..the last 1
minute..i think it has 4-6 layers. javed ali alaaping, the subdued violins the
females humming the flute in the left earphone and the rhythmn..havent been
able to unearth more but am sure they shd be there..and the way Sir whispers
his lyric in Tu hi meri dost hai..Seriously he is
the BEST..all these things point to the already made point that he is the
SUPREME when it comes to music..
SDM..frankly..jai ho is the weakest song of the album according to me..O saya
is mind blowing and the musical piece, riots as well palakkad sriram's piece is
superbb..whatever i saw of the movie(from the clips on Youtube) it seems that
danny boyle has used the music really well..something directors rarely do with
RAHMAN SIR..directors seem to picturise his songs well but forget to picturise
his BGMs properly..maybe the BGMs come later thats why( :) )
happy to know kadir is back with sir..also Iyandiran seems exciting..techno
music ala boys would be super..coz shankar+rahman sir combo gives enchanting
music.
am waiting for dilli 6 so is everyone else..hopefully sir's music has been used
well in GHAJINI..have spoken over much now..thanks to gopal for the superb
posts..
