Terror attack left Rahman shattered New Delhi (PTI): Music maestro AR Rahman, who has been lifting the spirits of millions of listeners through his music, left the country post-Mumbai terror attack "to change his frame of mind". Rahman, who added another feather to his cap with the nomination of "Slumdog Millionaire" for the Golden Globe Awards said, "I felt an urge to escape from the country to change my frame of mind after the terror attack in Mumbai." "I was in Chennai Studio when we received the news of attack in Mumbai...the nomination of 'Slumdog Millionaire' for the Golden Globe has been the only good news during this period," he said. Expressing his condolences for the victims of the attack, he saluted all the peacekeepers who laid down their lives to save the bleeding city. Rahman was in the city recently to launch his new album in collaboration with mobile handset maker Nokia. "Music can help build the bridge to connect India, embracing everyone irrespective of region, religion and language," he said, adding that "art is like a medicine in these trying times". Asked whether the album was a musical tribute to the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks, Rahman said the album had been conceptualised and shot long before the incident. "However, I hope to bring a smile back on the faces of the people with this album." The album would be available exclusively on the XpressMusic devices and the video would be released in association with Universal across all leading music channels within a few days. The album also includes tracks from Mann Chandre, Kural, Mylapore Blues and Mosquito. The songs would be preloaded on Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, Nokia 5220 XpressMusic and 5320 XpressMusic from January 2009. http://www.hindu.com/thehindu/holnus/009200812141660.htm
