Thanks Rakesh for starting this interesting discussion. IMHO,the panning(panaroma) between right and left speakers is one of the best traits in AR's compositions. As a kid at that time, I used to be amazed when I heard Beat of Passion and Raaga dance(Taal) or Konjum Mainnakale(Kandukondain), for instance. I also vividly remember Daud's theme music where I initially thought that the cassette was faulty and took it back to the shop owner :) All the songs from boys have beautiful intricate sounds and is an out of the world experience in a 5.1 surround system( Sridhar sir's mixing is indescribable). karthikeyan

I would like to discuss some unconventional voices ARR used in his songs..which i thing is a new approach by our Maestro. These sounds are relevant and in accordance with the visuals.. but these are there in music also. some of which i remember : 1. Bombay : A childs voices in the bombay theme. 2. Kadalan/Hum Se Hai Muqabla: Voice similar to the chicken in "Gopala Gopala" 2. Taal : Rain drops at the start in Taal se taal mila 3. Jodha Akbar: Sword clinging sound in Azeemo-shaan Shehanshah. List if you guys remember any.. ARR Rules Rakesh Add more friends to your messenger and enjoy! Go to http://messenger.yahoo.com/invite/
