SDM is a must see movie. I enjoyed the movie thoroughly. It has been released in Sydeny in selected cinemas. A very clever plot sequenced perfectly. The portayal of slum life may a bit overdone and may hurt indians a bit, but that is needed for the story anyway.
I liked the last bit in the Sydney Morning Herald review that goes "It is a saga that Dickens could have witten yet it's so thoroughly infused with the vitality, the horror and the gallows humour of Indian life on the edge that melodrama becomes dirty realism - with a flourish. Offering a final salute to the spirit of Bollywood, Boyle goes out with a song-and-dance number.
