Guys, among the current lot of msicians,Amit trivedi looks very promising.I had
heard his Aamir soundtrack and judged him as another Rahman clone.(his mehfooz
track heavily reminded me of "chand suraj or laakho taare" by nusrat fateh ali
khan and arrahman). But the other tracks were very nice. His sense of bg was also
fresh.Recently heard a song called
"emotional atyaachar",Though on first hearing it sounds like a mass drill
piece,it settles in after some times .The kinda quality associated with
arr.Really really good.Sel is getting highly blunt these days.(post
rock-on).Chandini chowk had one nice song-tere naina and thats it.Luck by
chance-nothing remarkable at all even after repeated hearings.Monty was one guy
who i thought would bring in a change.sadly his selection of movies were
pathetic(chamku,champu-or whatever tht bobby deol movie) .Pritam, though lacks
behind as far as originality is concerned ,does gives a good job of giving good
listening pleasure to all those ppl who r not concernd about the whereabouts of
a song.Vishal -Shekhar and Salim sulaman-doing a good job.Particularly Salim
sulaiman..i very much like their bgs.Mithoon-vanished into thin air.In
tamil,james vasanthan looks promising.

I know that most of us are drowned in ARR's magic right now ...but just in case
anyone wants a change (brickbats please :-) )

checkout these 2 OST's

OST of Dev D by Amit Trivedi...heard it off some random website .....and I feel
its an absolute stunner ....
OST of Luck by Chance by SEL (kinda ok ..not great but still better than most
of the usual crap that gets churned out these days by other MD's)
