Mission Ustad, the musical show's album would have released till now if the mixing of the two songs would have not been done by A.R. Rahman.
At the musical show Mission Ustad on 9x channelmagic was being spread around by the tallented music composer A.R. Rahman, who is a judge at the show. The song "Nayi Roshni" by the couple of Roop Kumar & Sonali Kumar Rathord and the song "Roshi Roshni" by the pair of Kailash Kher & Mahalakshmi Iyer were joint together by Rahman to form a totally new song, which may be named as "Roshni" and will be included in the Mission Ustad Audio CD. The song is based on the theme of education and enlightment. This magical event took place in the show telecasted on the date of 22nd December, 2007. This mixing of two songs created problems amongst the music composers. Although everyone liked the whole idea the music composers were not comfortable with A.R. Rahman altering their music compositions to form a new song. Therefore this song has still not been recorded due to which the album release has delayed further.
