A R Rahman has made Indians proud: Lord Paul London, Jan 13 (PTI) Describing A R Rahman as a great musician, leading NRI industrialist Lord Swraj Paul today said the maestro has made Indians proud by winning the prestigious Golden Globe award for his score in "Slumdog Millionaire". "It is a matter of great pride for all of us - Indians both living abroad and in India. He has made Indian proud," Lord Paul, who is also the Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords, said.
"I had the pleasure of meeting Rahman. Without any question, he is a great Indian and great musician and I wish him even more laurels," he added. Rahman made history by becoming the first Indian to win the prestigious award for the Best Original Music Score for 'Slumdog Millionaire' which also won the Best Film and two other awards.
