MUMBAI: Loveleen Tandon, the co-director of "Slumdog Millionaire", has
said that winning four Golden Globe
Awards<http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ET_Cetera/Great_feeling_for_Golden_Globe/articleshow/3972335.cms#>is
a great achievement.

"I think a huge achievement to have come this far, to make a mark in the
international cinema of the kind the Slumdog is making. I think winning the
Golden Globe has been fantastic," said Tandon.

Tandon further added that they wanted to make a good
movie<http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ET_Cetera/Great_feeling_for_Golden_Globe/articleshow/3972335.cms#>.

"It was meant to be a very small film that a great director Danny Boyle was
going to make. So, we never really thought of the rewards and the awards. We
just want to make a film that people like to watch," said Tandon.

Earlier, Slumdog also bagged different awards, including the Boston Society
of Film Critics Award, the British Independent Film Award and the Chicago
Film Critics Association Award.

The residents of Mumbai's Dharavi slum colony said that they would
definitely watch the movie.

"Normally most of the
films<http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/ET_Cetera/Great_feeling_for_Golden_Globe/articleshow/3972335.cms#>are
cantered around rich people and since this film evolves around Dharavi
slum people, every resident of this slum would see the movie," said Mohammad
Shahid, a resident of Dharavi, Asia's largest slum.

"Slumdog," which tells of a young Indian man looking for love and competing
for money on a television game show, earned awards for director Danny Boyle,
screen writer Simon Beaufoy, composer A.R. Rahman for best musical score and
for the best

as well.

Danny Boyle won Best Director award, while writer Simon Beaufoy also won an
award for the film.

'Slumdog Millionaire' was also named the best film.

Meanwhile, in California (USA), A.R. Rahman, the composer for 'Slumdog
Millionaire" thanked the almighty and Danny Boyle.

"Thanks to God for bringing me here. Thanks for all of your praise," said
Rahman.

The Golden Globe Awards are given out by some 90 members of the Hollywood
Foreign Press Association and are closely watched for clues as to which
films might vie for Oscars.
