What seemed like a carnival or Makar Sankranti celebrations in Chennai, was indeed a fitting musical welcome for A R Rahman at the Chennai Airport after his Golden Globe victory. It was the warmest home-coming that A R Rahman could have asked for. Rahman is the only Indian to win a Golden Globe Award, and he was given his due recognition as he touched down in Chennai in the wee hours of the morning. A R Rahman,"I was scared because I said that I wanted to win it for India, and if incase I don't, then so many people would be upset. But I did win and I am really happy from the bottom of my heart." Now, if you thought the excitement at the airport was amazing, well it didn't stop there, loyal fans continued to grace the maestro's presence till he reached his house! "In Hollywood, there are a lot of films happening. They need a 'change', and I think this was the change that they needed," said Rahman. As 'Slumdog Millionaire' get's ready for the Oscar's Rahman is no hurry for the mega award. "I think the Oscars is the next chapter, lets enjoy this one," Rahman added.
