Believe it or not, there are still a lot of people out there who still think that Rahman "ruined" the Hindi film music style of Nadeem Shravan and Jatin Lalit. In general, I find that those who are rigid minded about music and are not open to hearing different genres will never appreciate Rahman's music. It's their loss of course. I think Rahman is trying to open people's mind and expand their definition of what is good music, and despite Indian's people's overall appreciation of Rahman and greater musical taste maturity over the years, there are those who have not yet jumped on board and may never.
