R.D.Burman was alive, when Roja got released. And i am sure he must have
listened to it (because he always had the habit of listening to the length and
breadth of music happening across the world).

As for his reactions/opinions: We may never know because the Press never
bothered to approach him, for any interviews, during his last days. Infact,
most of the industry alienated him during that period and they woke up only to
express their shock, when he passed away.
ofcourse, few weeks later, the music of 1942-A Love Story got released and
suddenly people realized that a genius named R.D.Burman was existing right in
front of them.

RD might have listened to Roja for sure, if not in 1992, atleast in 1993, when
the film got dubbed into Hindi ( Hindi Roja got released
almost-but-not-exactly, alongside Thiruda Thiruda in 1993). And RD passed away
in 1994.
Just that nobody cared to talk to him in those days and hence we dont know what
he had to say about Roja's music and emergence of new talent.

He was very much alive. His last release 1942 love story was in 1993. He passed
away in 1994.

Does anyone remember? Did he have any comments on ARR and his music
before he passed on?
