The movie is reportedly based on Mehra's growing up years in Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi. The movie staring Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor will hit the screens on February 20. The title name of the movie is inspired from the pin code 110006 of the area 'old Delhi' in Delhi.
Abhishek Bachchan plays the role of Roshan, who brings his ailing grandmother (Waheeda Rahman) to India from the United States of America. She wants to die in her very own country, India. Roshan is unaware of the food, culture, sounds, religion and beliefs that make up the Indian society. On arriving in India, Roshan engages himself with his grandmother's neighborhood and becomes a part of the community. But Roshan does not know that his very own people have decided to take advantage of his candid nature. Little did he know that the trip to India will turn out to be the longest journey of his life. Sonam Kapoor plays the role of Bittu, a vivacious and bubbly girl who lives in Delhi 6. She comes from a conservative family and wants to set herself free from the typical Indian social structure. This would be Sonam Kapoor's second film after Saawariya. Other than Abhishek and Sonam, this UTV production produced jointly by Ronnie Screwvala and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has Kunal Kapoor, Om Puri, Rishi Kapoor, Waheeda Rahman, Atul Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Shefali Shah, Deepak Dobriyal, Supriya Pathak, Pawan Malhotra, Tanvi Azmi, Prem Chopra and many others. Amitabh too will be seen in a special appearance, playing the role of his real life son's grandfather in the movie.
