Seems like every time we hear a comment from an Ustad or Pandit on
ARR, either neg. or pos, the perception that is conveyed is that ARR
is mostly a Western oriented musician composing music that is mostly
electronic. While it's true that Rahman's music is highly
international and utilizes technology well (so does everyone these
days), I am amazed at how Rahman's ethnic/Indian/traditional/folk side
gets overlooked. I would love to create a CD or two of Rahman's very
Indian and traditional sounding compositions and send it to all these
guys. Songs like Man Mohanna, Radha Kaise Na Jale, Desh Ki Mitti,
Sarfarosh Ki Tamanna, Naina Milaike, Ghoomparani, Piya Ho, Naina Neer,
Tere Bina, Lukka Chuppi, Zindagi, Muala, etc. etc. and so many more
from North and South....
