This is very significant win indeed for "Down to Earth". There is the threat of vote split against "Jai Ho" at Oscars. Also, "Jai Ho" is yet to win a Best song award yet in this season, whereas "Down to earth" has won quite a few awards. "Down to earth" has environmental messages in the lyrics, which is another plus.
