After picking up the coveted BAFTA (British Academy Film and Television
Arts) award, for his score for Slumdog Millionaire, in the Best
Music<http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/India_Buzz/Now_an_Oscar_Rahman/articleshow/4106186.cms#>category,
he has his sights firmly on the Oscars now.

As he told reporters, after his BAFTA acceptance speech, "It is a great
feeling... It is getting better and better and let's hope for the biggest
one – the Oscar." He added, "I think it is important for people to know who
the composer is. People have started liking the score of the movie and it's
is a great feeling."

Slumdog's success has been remarkable and Rahman said the journey has been
"unbelievable". While accepting the award, Rahman thanked, among others, "My
beloved fans all over the world."
