I work in a firm based in Northern England and it is out & out an English firm with me being the only Indian / Asian! Just would like to mention about the popularity about Slumdog Millionaire soundtrack here.. Everyone who has watched the movie have gone and bought the soundtrack the very next day...Yesterday was a birthday of my colleague and guess what her boyfriend presented her...SDM soundtrack, because she longed for it soo much after seeing the movie :) One of my assistant is leaving and I already ordered her a copy of SDM soundtrack as her leaving gift! I was casually whistling Latika's theme in the staff room and my director from behind me goes.."Aah Slumdog Millionare..what an amazing soundtrack!" All of them wanted to listen to more of ARR and luckily I could point them to iTunes..where they could get a decent collection of our boss's tunes Actually the great thing would be to start a website that would sell all ARR's tunes / BGscore / Soundtracks in one place and you can download them in MP3 format..Imagine how wonderful that would be..Soundtracks of ARR directly releasing in that online store and people like me [who live in Middle Earth :))] can buy the soundtrack directly online without having to wait for the UK based websites that sell Indian music to dispatch the CDs in their own leisure time!! Wow..this would be really great..could this be a possibility???Who knows..lets see what the future holds!! People here knew nothing about ARR until SDM..Even though Bombay Dreams ran houseful for like 2 yearsÂ…the show was only in London..So people outside London couldn't get to see or listen. SDM has provided a great exposure for ARR and everyone here are dying to listen to more of him!!
Fingers crossed for the Oscars!!! Jai Ho, Ravi.
