Sarangi, the instrument is on the demise..it is one of the most complex one and few people play it..also it's been restricted to 'Mujras','Mehfils' etc..even now. It is less seen even in Classical concerts.. The way 'violin' is played in Carnatic music,sarangi is not played that much in 'North Indian music'.. While sitar and sarod are heavily played there. In such scenario, ARR has revived it with track 'mosquito' in connections.. 'Had anyone thought of Sarangi voice sounding like 'Mosquito'? Only ARR can do this commendable job!! This album has been a plesant surprise for me!! so many thanks to ARR for bringing Sarangi track.
