1. ARR is the first asian musician to be nominated for Oscar. there were two chinese musicians nominated some time before but there was a third person who as an american. so, this makes ARR to be the first asian musician to be single handedly nominated for Oscar. 2. ARR was the first artist to be signed by Sony in south-east asia.
3. for the past 20 years, the indian movies nominated for Oscars are Lagaan and Water. remember! both have music by ARR! also, vijay tv has digged deep into many facts in the program. very nice compilation and man, the songs they have selected to compile the show is just awesome. many numbers have rejuvenated my immense love to ARRs songs... ;-) jai ho ARR!
