If there was ever an album that deserves a National Award, it's Delhi 6. It deserves many other awards too, but most certainly the National Award for music. To me, the music of D6 represents the best of India today......contemporary, progressive, incorporating world influences, yet rooted firmly in folk, tradition, and spirituality. Regardless of the BO outcome of the movie, the music of D6 stands tall amongst one of Rahman's finest ever and deserves so much in terms of accolades and most definitely, the National Award.
