"............After listening to "allah ke bande", Rahman called me to sing for Mangal Pandey. He asked me for inputs on traditional / folk based Warrior songs of northern India. I gave him some inputs as per his requirement. In 30 minutes he came up with the tune of "Mangal Mangal" including the begining of the song "Tanana Tanana Tanana....Sab ne Suna Re..". It was simply amazing to experience his grasping capacity and the song was just there in 30 minutes........" And what a song that was ! All the best to Rahman for Oscars !! Best Luck !!!!
