KOCHI: “I was a stranger to the city. So, Devarajan Master arranged me a help there. It was none other than music director R K Sekhar,” recalls music director M K Arjunan about his first journey to Madras (now Chennai) in the late 60s for composing the background score for his debut film ‘Karutha Pournami’. Down the memory lane, Arjunan Master had the son of R K Sekhar accompanying him to the studio. “In 1981, I asked little Rahman (then Dileep) to play the keyboard for a song in film `Adimachangala’ which was composed by me. It was for the first time that he was associated with a film. The lyrics of `earanadu mannu’ was given by R K Damodaran and was sung by Yesudas,” said Arjunan Master.
