In that they mentioned that :
" Balu Mahendra said as the jury chairman of National Award committee, it was
his casting vote that got Rahman the award for the best music director for Roja
over Ilayaraja for Thevar Magan in the same year!"
Is this true? If so, why is he revealing it after 16 years? why didn't he share
this before? Hopefully, the others from that particular year's jury come out
and clarify this.
