possibly one up manship amonst news channel is killing the enthusiasm of
organisers to telecast the ceremony later?

Each award is important and Best wishes to ARR for tonights Filmfare
awards !
ARR started his AWARDS career with Filmfares, so the journey
continues... . You can and should never say no to an award. If you are
good, you are good ! Others should improve their quality to match with
Rahman's performance. Just by Rahman's withdrawing from awards does
not improve other MD's quality.....
Jai Ho Rahman ! He will always RahE-Mahaan !
Continue winning many such awards......

Earlier, I remember Filmfare or such awards used to be telecast live,
well not exactly live but delayed live so that the same night we could
see the ceremony, say 2 hours after the actual event.
Now they don't do that but, with the news channels reporting the
awards as breaking news from the venue, the excitement of watching the
awards ceremony one week later is not there. What's the logic of this,
can someone find out ?
