Director Danny Boyle has returned to his home town in Greater Manchester to show off his Oscar.
The 52-year-old arrived to gathered crowds outside St Mary's Social Club in Radcliffe, Bury, where his family and supporters watched the ceremony. The film Slumdog Millionaire won eight Oscars, including one for Boyle as best director and the best picture prize.
