In his acceptance speech at a felicitation function organised by the Cine Musicians' Union and Trust here, Rahman said, "Its the aspiration of all (the musicians)...God selected me to collect the award on their behalf." He said he had only reaped the hardwork of his parents when he won the Oscars for his score in Danny Boyle directed 'Slumdog Millionaire'. He repeated the lines "Ella Pugazhum iraivanuke" (All glory to the Almighty), which he said at the Kodak Theatre last week while received the Oscar awards. Recalling his working days for 'Slumdog Millionaire', Rahman said, he composed the music amidst a tight schedule and finished his part in three weeks. "The music had some impact in the movie and the Americans started smiling when they heard it," he said.
