Now this degree will be conferred upon a musician for the soothing and healing touch his music provides. Chennai's Oscar winner will soon be called Dr. A.R.Rahman! Anna University will confer the doctorate on the Mozart Of Madras in Media Sciences. "It's a great honour. I can now treat people!," was Rahman's first response to this honour. "He has made us all proud. Reason enough for us to bestow this honour on him," says Dr P Mannar Jawahar, Vice Chancellor, Anna University.
