I watched the Oscars on Justin.tv website and they were broadcasting thru a studio in UK and the panel did bring this fact up. But the point they made was Danny was offered a bond movie but he refused. He prefers to work with lesser known cast and crew and have better control of the proceedings and how the movie shapes up. A bond movie according to the panel would be too huge a platform for Danny to attempt which is why he refused. I don't know if they were referring to Quantum of Solace during this discussion.
