    Inaugurating corporate sale of ticket to P K Steels Industries Chairman
P K Ahamed, he said the organisers had decided not to issue free passes
aimed at generating maximum fund for rehabilitation of HIV/AIDS affected
children in the state and the surrounding districts of the neighbouring
states.

Apart from P K Steels, which had accepted ticket worth Rs five lakh,
Harrisons and KRS Group of Companies had purchased it for Rs three lakh each
and the VKC Footwear Rs one lakh.

Earlier, speaking at the function, Indian Union Muslim League leader P V
Abdul Wahab, MP and Chairman of the Global Kerala Inititiave, organiser of
the programme, said as it was for a noble cause, the Central Government had
granted sales tax exemption under 80G for those purchasing the tickets.

He said in order to mobilise maximum fund, no TV rights have been given,
aimed at attracting more spectators at the

event.

The organisers wanted the spectators to reach at the venue by 1500 hrs for
the programme to be started at 1700 hrs to avoid traffic snarl.

Stating that many dignitories, including ministers and film stars are
expected to witness the event, he said the Kerala Government had decided to

the music maestro at the Kadavu resort prior to the event.

Urging the business community to extend maxium contribution by purchasing
the tickets in bulk so that the proceeds, after deducting an estimated
expenses of Rs four crore to be incured for the programme, could be used for
the rehabilitaton of the HIV/AIDS affected children.

Enquiries were pouring in from various parts of the country to find out the
availability of tickets, venue and other details, he added.
