KOZHIKODE: Thirty drummers have been selected in the primary round of selection programme conducted to pick out the drummers to perform with A R Rahman in the ‘Jai Ho’ Show which will be held here.
Sixty-two drummers, including girls from different parts of the state, participated in the selection process held at the Corporation Stadium in the city on Sunday. Twenty-four drummers will be qualified after the final round of selection which will be held on April 30. The selection was led by noted musician Tej Mervin and the drummers Tanuj and Preman. The production head of the Rapport Global Events Savio briefed the drummers about the technical aspects of the background scores of song ‘Jai Ho’. The drummers who are selected will be given a special training by drum experts of Rahman’s music band on April 28.
