Hi, Off-late there has been many instances where the songs of a movie gets leaked online even before the official release. It could have been a popularity gimmick by producer or could have been a real breach in the way the recorded songs have been handled by the directors/producers. I think Rahman should emphasize more on the way the directors handle the new recordings which are handed over to picture the songs.
I am frustrated by the way some random songs in youtube are labeled with the Rahman tag especially in Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya where there are around 3 songs floating around probably intended to malign his reputation. Suprisingly they have around 6000+ hits and still no one has flagged them as copyright violation! Is there any official statement from the producers about the authenticity of these songs? Or can someone tell for sure that all these songs are NOT composed by Rahman. I am very anxious to have them proven as fake! These fake songs are no where close to Rahman standards which my iTunes keeps echoing always and I am donno why those fakes are still online. Even if a fraction of our group took the initiative to report those videos as fake, We can bring down their numbers by a great extent. On my part, in youtube, I have flagged them as copyright infringement! Hope we remove them completly! Regards, Amrish
