Rather than a stately orchestral score, he provided an atmospheric collection of electronica -- from eerie, spaced out moments for some of the slo-mo training sequences to the composer's iconic, often-parodied electronic march theme, which became an early '80s pop anthem on its own. Oscar winner A.R. Rahman recently cited this as his favorite score of all time.
