Maestro uncut There's something about this diminutive personality that appeals to both music pros and Bollywood fans alike. So, when A R Rahman made an entry into the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel in Hinjewadi yesterday noon for a felicitation lunch, all eyes were fixed on the composer and all ears perked up to register his words. However, reticence and humility being his trademark, Rahman let his stellar work in music do the talking, once again.
Wearing a denim outfit, which was as understated as his general demeanour, Rahman walked into the main lobby of the Courtyard by Marriott, cut the cake designed in the shape of a piano, spoke a few words and walked back upstairs to his room, all in a matter of minutes. Before retreating to his private suite, though, he did say, "I wish all the best to the hotel." While the posse of media persons were left asking for more from the Mozart of Madras, other guests seemed overwhelmed to have caught a glimpse of the composer who has become a legend in his lifetime. "A R Rahman is officially the first guest at our hotel and this lunch was organized especially in his honor," said Rukhsana Sherdiwala, marketing communication executive, Courtyard by Marriott."It's a great privilege to play host to the maestro and we hope to have a great start to our innings with his presence being the first at this property," she added. http://www.expressindia.com/latest-news/maestro-uncut/468745/ Krish..
